OUR INTENTION
The vision for this gathering is to form a supportive community of Buddhist practitioners who want to meditate, inquire, investigate and discuss practice with like minded folks in an ongoing and committed way.

THE FLOW OF THE EVENING
We greet each other on Zoom at 7pm and then settle into our 30 minute silent mediation. We begin our Dharma reading/discussion at 7:30. The study materials will be posted here on the site for you to reviewWe close at 8:30 with a dedication of merit.

STUDY MATERIALS
OPEN EYE Meditation Group is a secular Buddhist gathering. There is no particular identification with Theravada, Mahayana or Zen Buddhism. The focus of study is on the Dharma teachings, Buddhist commentary and occasionally the Pali Canon, the oldest of Buddha’s teachings available to us.

Tarané Sayler | Zoom Session Facilitator

The sessions will be led by Tarané Sayler, a certified QHHT@ Practitioner (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique). Tarané is a long time dedicated meditator who’s practice has included sitting and studying in the traditions of Zen, Theravda, Tibetan Buddhism as well as Advita Vendanta. She has been over the years involved with several Buddhist groups in the area. She enjoys the privilege of being on the board of directors for Marin Zen Meditation Center, and occasionally does guesting teaching at Dr. Rick Hanson’s (Author of The Buddha’s Brain) San Rafael Meditation Group. In 2012 she took vows in the Tibetan Buddhist Nyingma tradition with Anam Thubten Rinpoche, becoming a member of the Vidyadhara. In 2016, Tarané founded OpenEye Mindful Space, a community meditation space and has been leading meditation and Yoga Nidra guided meditation in person and online.
