Marin Mindful Recovery

Promoting Awareness & Wisdom — Freedom From Addiction

Sundays | 7pm-8:30pm | By donation

Marin Mindful Recovery is dedicated to deepening spiritual connection and recovery using wisdom and practices from modern psychology, philosophy, and Eastern Religion – with an emphasis on the Theravada and Vipassana traditions.

We hold weekly meetings on Sunday evenings from 7 – 8:30 pm at OpenEye Mindful Space, 875 4th St, San Rafael, CA. The meetings are led by two facilitators and include meditation with guidance, the introduction of a topic or theme, and open dialogue.

You do not need any prior meditation experience, nor do you need to be “Buddhist”. The approach is largely secular and emphasizes the value of open minds. We welcome people from all backgrounds and beliefs.

FACILITATORS

Andy McGuire has been meditating for 20 years and has particular experience with body scanning, various mindfulness/vipassana meditations, and concentration practices. He is the founder of Marin Mindful Recovery and has been leading practice groups for ten years.

Will Meecham began in 1987 with a quest to merge scientific understanding with spiritual wisdom.  He is a former oculofacial surgeon who now teaches a blend of body appreciation, mindfulness, and spirituality. Visit ICANlovelife.com for more information about Will and his work. His eclectic journey eventually led to a style of mindfulness instruction that helps us see life clearly while embracing it with compassion and love.
